“So I was up at the lake house, just about to make the 3 hour drive back home. As I'm leaving the community, I hear a pop under the hood and see all the steam. I called 5 places to check their availability, and Curt at Penn Valley Auto said that he could help me out. AAA towed the truck to him, got the part from O'Reilly and bam, he got it fixed. Did a great job and didn't gouge me on the labor. Something that the other 4 shops whom I won't name did do. Also, when it was ready, his wife came and picked me up so I didnt have to walk. That type of customer service is rare nowadays. It was definitely appreciated and I will definitely be coming back in the future.”

“OMG! The nicest people ever! We went in with a low tire pressure light on and a tire that kept losing its air. They were able to assess the problem and recommended replacing the front tires as they were worn and probably the reason they weren't holding air. The two men that helped us gave us an excellent deal on some tires and they were able to mount them and get us on the road quickly. They provide a comfortable waiting room and let us keep our dogs with us while they did the work. They brought us coffee and water and kept us informed on the progress and outcome. What a great crew! I highly recommend them. They are very kind, respectful, caring and honest!”

“I am a single lady and moved here 5 yrs. ago. I have always found them fairly priced and helpful... giving me rides to my home..when i leave a vehicle for several hours...Customer service is important. Curt,the owner always takes time with explaining,advising,and recommending options. Recently my truck was assessed for an oil leak..it took about 20 min. It carries a Camper that can't be removed..so because of clearance issues it can't be repaired there. Curt recommended a couple of places i could take it to. I didn't owe him a thing for the assessment..so he lost this job...but still kept me as a Customer..”

“I am 57 years old and know my way around motor vehicles and engines. Due to injuries I cannot do the work I used to do on my personal cars. I have searched and been disappointed by many so called professional shops.
These folks are not a disappointment.
If you are looking for trained technicians who have an old-school work ethic and are not just parts-changers these are the people. If you are looking for a shop you can send your elderly friends or other seniors to and be confident they won't get taken advantage of these are the people.
This shop reminds me of the corner mechanic many of us grew up with. We established a working relationship with them and they never did anything to put that trust in question. Repair shops these days are pretty much the same when it comes to cost, but what you get for your money is what varies so greatly....from the initial diagnosis to the completed repair.
I would have no problem whatsoever sending my 84 year old Mother to them for repairs on her car.

“I stopped by today around 4:45 in the afternoon to ask about bringing my car in because my muffler was rattling against my trailer hitch bar. I was promptly greeted by the owner, Curt, who came out to the parking lot and looked under my car. He told me that the noise was being caused by a loose bolt. He went inside to grab the tools he needed to tighten the bolt and tightened it then and there. It was so nice. I asked him what I owed him and he happily said, 'nothing'! While I realize this was a very simple repair, it is beyond appreciated that he went ahead and took care of it for me. Thank you so much Curt! I will be back to you next time I need any work done.”
